Collecting Shoeboxes for Operation Christmas ChildDear friends and family of Guthmann Construction,
Since 1993, the Samaritan’s Purse project, Operation Christmas Child, has collected and delivered more than 124 million gift-filled shoeboxes to children in more than 150 countries and territories. In 2015, Operation Christmas Child hopes to collect enough shoebox gifts to reach another 11 million children.
This year, the employees of Guthmann Construction will pack shoeboxes, and we invite our clients, friends, and family to join us. We will collect the shoebox gifts at our offices and deliver them to Samaritan’s Purse during National Collection Week (Nov. 16 – 23).
If you are taking part in this annual event with your family, community group, or church, thank you for supporting this global outreach project. If you would like to join Guthmann Construction’s efforts, please read “What Goes in My Shoebox?” It contains important details about packing a shoebox, gift suggestions, what not to pack, and how to Follow Your Box online. I am happy to pick up the shoebox when it is complete, or you are welcome to bring it to our office for collection on or before Monday, November 23, 2015.
Or if you prefer, you can build a shoebox online. For a $25 donation, you can select hygiene essentials, age appropriate toys and gift items, write a note of encouragement and “pack” them in a shoebox.
It is our sincere hope to be a blessing to others, both near and far. Please consider joining us as we spread hope, love, and light to children in some of the hardest-to-reach countries around the world.
